EquusLibere Embodiment Series Presents:
Yoga and Dance with Horses (Intro Class)
***Description***
This practice will take place outdoors on a beautiful 55 acre ranch-retreat facility overlooking the front range.
Our session will begin with meditative walk together through the property to our practice area, during which context will be shared on horses, the herd system, and the unique opportunities present and possible sharing practice space with the herd.
Our practice will take place in an an enclosed area at the center of a large paddock, which holds a 15-member horse herd loose and free in their home environment.
Amidst the backdrop of the front range, and at the center of the herd, we will begin our practice with an opening circle followed by a guided movement practice.
The movement practice will blend yoga, dance, and other breath and somatic practices that tap into the subtle, the primal, the unique sensitivities of the ‘horse body’ alive in our bodies.
The practice will conclude with self-guided exploration with herd and a group close.

***About the EquusLibere Embodiment Series***
The EquusLibere Embodiment Series offers experiences blending movement and somatic awareness practices, presence and engagement with horses, and self-inquiry processes. These processes create a powerful combination for nervous system regulation and the identification of intangible yet powerful underlying dynamics in ourselves and the relationships we inhabit. Through co-creative practices with the horses, participants are able to work with these dynamics made visible through feedback from the horses. Each session is an opportunity for meditation and experimentation with the undercurrents in our minds, bodies, and relationships. Each practice opens space to step into our embodied capacity for choice around the states we want to create.
