Discovery Experience: Family & Youth Horse Discovery, Horsemanship, and Leadership

Join equine learning facilitator Bridgit Wald for an experiential process for families and youth that partners participants with horses for discovery and learning, horsemanship skills development, and leadership development.

Noting that we will be in a heated indoor arena, so will can continue regardless of temperature!

5 spaces are available and fill up quickly, so please reserve in advance.

Experiences are designed to be joyful, insightful opportunities to discover equine-facilitated learning and connect with horses in a whole new way. We will be partnering with horses on the ground (no riding is involved) and working through a variety of individual and group activities that develop skills, deepen connection, and are a lot of fun.

The session is open to family groups as well as individual youth (youth without a parent must be 11+). We recommend parents participate alongside their kids as these experiences are a great bonding and development experience. Accompanied children can be aged 6+.

No horse experience is necessary (in fact, often less is better!) and all activities take please on the ground. We work with a wonderful herd of horses that are well handled, good-natured, and specifically chosen for their suitability for these kinds of activities. We go through a thorough safety lesson and ensure all participants feel safe throughout the program.

All participants will be sent a questionnaire in advance to support the design of the session (parents are encouraged to support their children in filling these out!).

Sessions take place at Wildsong Ranch in Longmont, CO, a beautiful 45-acre ranch dedicated to natural horse care and training. Driving and parking instructions will be sent upon registration.

Please message or email us to register. Payment information will be sent with the questionnaires.

Cost is $60/participant
